Volunteer Opportunities
Duluth Harbor Rescue Mission's staff and volunteers have an obligation to provide a space where friends are safe. We provide a peaceful, kind, loving and gentle atmosphere where friends feel valued and respected. Volunteerism at any mission is an essential part of keeping the doors open.
Give
Your partnership through a financial donation today will help change a life tomorrow for a homeless individual or family. Duluth Harbor Rescue Mission is a faith-based ministry therefore does not receive any Government, County, or City funding for any of our programs. Your gift allows us to continue as a part of God’s worldwide task force drawing others to him, with your help, meeting their most immediate needs, food, shelter, clothing, and love.
Pray
Prayer changes things. Question: “How do you get to know your new friend?” the answer: “you spend time with them.” So then, “How do you get to know God?” answer: “you spend time with Him.” Prayer is the key to a relationship with God and we take it very seriously. We pray with a great number of souls each week. One woman quoted says, “When I need prayer I come here.” Contact us if you are led to pray with the homeless at Duluth Harbor Rescue Mission.
Events
Duluth Harbor Rescue Mission events are always filled with joy and Christ! This year we have our annual Easter dinner and our motorcycle fundraiser and community outreach in August. Also, throughout the summer we have neighborhood BBQ's and community dinners. We are always seeking volunteers for these events. Fundraise and Food/Goods Drive
Fundraising can be fun! We must fundraise in order to keep the door open. During the year we have two fundraisers which include our motorcycle fundraiser, and a grocery bagging day! Watch our Facebook page, or check in to the web site often to find opportunities to help. Your group or organization can also help by hosting your own fundraiser event or activity to benefit those in need at Duluth Harbor Rescue Mission. Contact us for more information.
