Kendra often visited during her life on the streets. Broken and used, she became dependent on the drugs to numb her pain and trauma. She became totally dependent on the man who was sure she had all the drugs she wanted. Keeping her high was a part of his plan to line his pockets with the money he made by trafficking her. It’s an evil world out there, that’s one thing we have come to learn for sure. While much time had passed that we did not see Kendra for a period, in this world, when you don’t see someone who lives in unhealthy situations, you begin to wonder if they have passed away.

Glory to God, Kendra did not. She came through the door one day with her mother, and she looked radiant! Kendra was clean, sober minded, and excited to introduce her mom to us, “Mom, these are the people who helped me.” We had a very nice visit as Kendra shared, she is done with ‘the life’ and is planning to go to school! Pray for this precious young girl as she begins to seek out things that are good. Glory to God for great things He has done!
